Trapping Regulations

These regulations and quotas are adopted under the authority granted to the Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission in Section 87-1-301, MCA and are valid July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2006. These regulations were adopted by the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission in August 5, 2004. Jeff Hagener, Director.

Quotas are adopted annually and may change for the 2006 furbearer season. Quota changes would be made at the August 2006 FWP Commission meeting. If changes are adopted, the new quotas will be available on the FWP website and in an addendum at FWP Regional and Area Resource offices and the Helena headquarters. It is the responsibility of the trapper or hunter to be aware of quota changes that may be made for the 2005-2006 season.
